    1. Oh goodie. I’m excited to hear about whatever life threatening ailment she has that causes this phenomenon.

It’s the degradation of heme, which is a constituent of the iron porphyrin in your blood.

      Sorry OP, she’s already dead.

This is a sign of stage 7 brain worm mad cow lupus.

      Sorry for your loss.

Dark/black-looking bruises can be completely normal But: if it’s frequent or unusual, better to get it checked just to be safe

    7. My ex used to bruise like this at the slightest collision with things. She was oddly proud of them for some reason.

Damn, I’m too early, usually the top comment is about some horrific disease that OP’s gf has and that she has little time to live

    9. I wonder is that is just really deep down broken vessels and capillaries? Just bruise color on top of more and more bruise color til it’s that dark.

    10. I had an ex who bruised very easily. It always worried me what others might think lol.

How’s her water drinking habit? Only time I’ve had a bruise go black, I was severely dehydrated

I’ve had these for really deep tissue injuries… had a carnival ride harness slammed on my meaty legs, and I had massive bruises like this on both thighs, just in a 2 inch wide line across the entire top.

It felt weird to feel the clotted blood move under the skin as I walked…
